Kismet Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy remains available for people using legacy versions of the app.

This policy applies to older versions of Kismet. The app creates Turkish-coffee readings for entertainment only.

Information we process

• Your profile: an account ID and details you choose to add, such as your name, birth date, gender, language, and preferences.
• Your readings: the cup and saucer images, question or topic you submit, the reading created for you, and its date.
• App activity: basic device, usage, performance, security, and purchase-status information. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

How we use information

• Create the coffee reading you request and keep your reading history on your device.
• Provide your profile, purchases, and reminders.
• Keep Kismet secure, fix problems, and improve the app.

Service providers

We may use the following providers to operate the app:

• Google Firebase: accounts, profile storage, app performance, and security
• OpenAI: creating a reading from the images and question you submit
• Apple: App Store purchases and device features

Our service-provider agreements and applicable law require information to be used only for the stated services and protected to a standard equivalent to this policy.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share only what is needed with the providers above to create and deliver the features you use, or when required for safety or by law.

Retention and deletion

Selected images are sent to OpenAI to create your reading; Kismet does not keep a permanent cloud copy of those images. OpenAI may keep request data under its own policy. Your readings and images stay on your device until you delete them or the app, while cloud profile data may remain while your account is active. You may request deletion by email.

Your choices and rights

• You choose which images and question to submit and can delete saved readings in the app.
• You can manage photo access and notifications in iOS Settings.
• You may ask to access, correct, or delete your cloud profile by emailing us. Your local privacy law may give you additional rights.

Children’s privacy

Kismet is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
